King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that East Coventry Township will perform roadway construction and paving on Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) in East Coventry Township, Chester County, beginning Monday, July 14.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, July 14, through Monday, August 4, eastbound Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) will be closed and detoured 24/7 between the U.S. 422 Interchange and Sanatoga Road. During the closure, passenger vehicles will be directed to use Old Schuylkill Road and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road). Large trucks will be directed to use U.S. 422, Route 100 (Pottstown Pike), Route 23 (Ridge Road), and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road).
Local access will be maintained. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
East Coventry Township will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
