Permanent Traffic Signal Project to Begin at Kindig Lane and High Street in Hanover Borough, York County

Contractor to install permanent signals, make other improvements at the intersection

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a project to install permanent traffic signals at the intersection of Kindig Lane and High Street in Hanover Borough, York County, is scheduled to begin Monday, April 7, weather permitting.

The contractor will work daily from approximately 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This project includes the installation of permanent traffic signals, ADA curb ramps, base repairs, paving, line painting, and signs.

Temporary signals are in place at the intersection. However, there may be intermittent flagging as needed during this project, which may cause delays.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.

JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the contractor for the $737,925 project.  All work is expected to be completed by October 10, 2025.
