Bridge Replacement Project to Begin on Black Rock Road in York County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge replacement project is scheduled to begin on Black Rock Road (Route 3070) in York County. The bridge spans the West Branch Codorus Creek between Frogtown Road and Lakeview Terrace in West Manheim Township.

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, June 9. The bridge will be closed. A detour will be in place using Hobart Road (Route 3058), Blue Hill Road (Route 3037), Route 216 (Blooming Grove Road), and Grandview Road (Route 3068)

The project consists of replacing the existing structure with a precast box culvert. Work also includes roadway, guiderail updates, signing & pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction.

Lobar Site Development, Inc., of Dillsburg, PA, is the contractor on this $1,089,197 project. All work is expected to be completed by October 30, 2025.
