Route 3014 Hunker Waltz Mill Road Bridge Preservation Project Begins Next Monday in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing the closure of Route 3014 (Hunker Waltz Mill Road) between Penn Valley Road and Route 3089 (New Stanton Ruffsdale Road) in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County beginning Monday, August 18.

A posted detour will be in place through late September using:

  • Interstate 70
  • Route 3089 (Buttermore Avenue/New Stanton Ruffsdale Road)
  • Route 3014 (Hunker Road/Hunker Waltz Mill Road)

Crews from Gulisek Construction LLC will conduct latex overlay work of the existing concrete bridge deck, drainage repairs, joint and crack sealing, concrete repairs and milling and paving of the bridge approaches.

This work is part of a larger $3.03 million infrastructure investment project to preserve eight bridge structures in Fayette and Westmoreland counties.
