I-376 Parkway West Ramps to Reopen a Month Ahead of Schedule

I-376 Parkway West Traffic Shifts to end in Collier and Robinson townships

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the reopening of two ramps on I-376 (Parkway West) in Collier and Robinson townships, Allegheny County, will begin tonight, August 12 weather permitting. The bridge and median barrier work requiring these closures has been completed and the ramps will reopen to traffic over four weeks ahead of schedule. The ramps are expected to be fully reopened by Saturday, August 16.

During overnight single-lane restrictions that are occurring in both directions on the I-376 bridges over Boyce Road from 9:00 PM through 5:00 AM each night, crews will work to reopen the following ramps according to the following schedule:

  • Westbound I-376 to Campbells Run Road (Exit 62)
    • Crews will work to remove the closure and have it opened to traffic by 5:00 AM on Wednesday, August 13.
  • Boyce Road to eastbound I-376
    • Crews will work to remove the closure and have it opened to traffic by 5:00 AM on Saturday, August 16.

Additionally, I-376 between the Ridge Road (Exit 61) and I-79 (Exit 64A) interchanges will return to normal configuration according to the following schedule:

  • Westbound I-376 will return to a normal traffic configuration by 5:00 AM Wednesday, August 13
  • Eastbound I-376 will return to a normal traffic configuration by 5:00 AM Saturday, August 16

Traffic was shifted into two 11-foot outer lanes in June to accommodate bridge and median barrier work on the structure carrying I-376 over Boyce Road.

This work is part of the $12.6 million project on the Parkway West located between the Ridge Road (Exit 61) and I-79 (Exit 64A) interchanges in Robinson and Collier townships. Additionally, milling and paving on I-376, ramp preservation work, overhead sign structure repairs, drainage improvements, guide rail updates, and sign and pavement marking installation work will occur in 2025. The majority of the project is anticipated to be completed in late 2025, however, punch list work is expected to continue through early 2026.
