Bridge was restricted to single lane with temporary signals
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Wago Road (Route 1019) bridge in East Manchester Township, York County, is fully open.
The bridge, which is located between the entrance to the Brunner Island Power Plant and the Conewago Creek Recreation Area, was restricted to a single lane with temporary signals for a bridge superstructure replacement project.
The temporary signals have been removed. Some finishing work remains that will require lane restrictions under flagging, as needed.
This project consists of a superstructure replacement and other miscellaneous construction.
Charles J. Merlo, Inc., of Mineral Point, PA, is the contractor on this $3,863,000 project.
All work is expected to be completed by October 14, 2025.
