King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations will occur next week on several state highways in Bucks and Chester counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway across the five-county region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Bucks County
- Monday, September 22, through Friday, September 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Fallsington Tullytown Road between Low Lane and New Falls Road in Falls Township and Tullytown Borough for milling, paving, and utility construction.
- Monday, September 22, through Friday, September 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Penn Valley Road/hood Boulevard between Old Bristol Pike and Oxford Valley Road in Bristol and Falls townships for milling, paving, and utility construction.
- Monday, September 22, through Friday, September 26, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Edgely Road between New Falls Road and U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) in Bristol and Middletown townships for paving.
Chester County
- Tuesday, September 23, through Friday, September 26, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, alternating lane closures will be in place on sections of Saint Matthews Road between Route 401 (Conestoga Road) and Pughtown Road in West Vincent Township for milling.
- Wednesday, September 24, through Friday, September 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Phoenixville Pike between Saunders Lane and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in West Whiteland Township for milling, paving, and utility construction.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
