Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that milling and paving will occur at night next week on southbound I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Tuesday, September 2, through Friday, September 5, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Cottman Avenue interchanges.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The work is part of the substantially completed I-95 Section CP3 project that finished the reconstruction of 1.4 miles of I-95, its structures, and surface streets between the Cottman Avenue and Bridge Street interchanges.
