    TRAFFIC ALERT: Route 88 Closed in Charleroi, Washington County

    Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists that northbound Route 88 is closed to traffic between 8th Street and 9th Street in Charleroi Borough, Washington County.

    Traffic will be detoured to east I-70, north Route 906, across the Charleroi Monessen Bridge and reenter north Route 88.

    Please use caution and allow extra time for travel.

    Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices by calling 5-1-1 or following regional X alerts.
