Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager David Forkey has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of September 2. All maintenance activities are dependent on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Edge paving:
- Route 3031 (Fitz Henry Road) in South Huntingdon Township
- Route 3037 (Rolling Hills Road) in South Huntingdon Township
- Route 3061 (First Street) in South Huntingdon Township
- Route 3093 (Center Avenue) in East Huntingdon Township
Pipe/box culvert installation:
- Route 286 (Saltsburg Road) in Washington Township
- Route 1067 (Laughner Road) in Fairfield Township
- Route 1017 (Wilpen Road) in Ligonier Township
Shoulder cutting:
- Route 1022 (Kemp/Bardine Road) in Salem Township
- Route 1028 (Bovard/Luxor Road) in Hempfield Township
- Route 1055 (Hannastown Road) in Hempfield/Salem Township
- Route 1057 (Beaver Run Road) in Salem Township
- Route 4045 (Boquet Road) in Salem Township

Crews will pick litter, replace downed signs, update existing signs, and address work orders on various state routes throughout the county.
