Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Fayette County Maintenance Manager Jason L. Spangler has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of September 2. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Bridge work:
- Route 2003 (Wharton Furnace Road) in Wharton Township
- Posted Detour:
- Route 40 (National Pike)
- Route 381 (Elliottsville Road)
Base repair:
- Route 3005 (Gans Woodbridge Road) in Georges Township
- Route 3009 (Outcrop Road/Old Frame Road) in Nicholson and Georges Townships
Boom mowing:
- Route 4036 (Newell Road) in Jefferson Township
Culvert work:
- Route 166 (New Geneva Road) in Nicholson and Springhill townships
Pipe flushing:
- Route 1051 (Bute Road) in North Union Township
Shoulder repair:
- Route 1009 (Bear Rocks Road) in Bullskin Township
- Route 1050 (Buchanan Road) in Saltlick Township
Shoulder work:
- Route 40 in South Union and Wharton townships
Side dozing:
- Route 4028 (Grindstone Road) in Redstone Township
Crews will pick litter, replace downed and update signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide.
