Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing bridge washing activities in various locations along Route 28 in Allegheny County will begin Monday, September 22 weather permitting.
Bridge washing activities requiring single-lane restrictions will occur along Route 28 in both directions through Wednesday, October 1 according to the following schedule:
- Weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between the Harmar/I-76/Route 910 (Exit 11) and the Freeport/Millerstown (Exit 16) interchanges
- Weeknights from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM between the RIDC Park (Exit 10) and Harmar/I-76/Route 910 (Exit 11) interchanges
Crews from Green Acres Contracting will conduct this work.
Please use caution if traveling on this roadway. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
