King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that base repair operations are scheduled on Pawlings Road in Schuylkill Township, Chester County and Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, beginning Thursday, October 2.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Thursday, October 2, through Friday, October 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Pawlings Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) and Audubon Road. During the closure, northbound Pawlings Road motorists will be directed to use Route 23 (Valley Forge Road), Route 29 (Starr Street/Bridge Street), and Egypt Road. Southbound Pawlings Road motorists will be directed to use Audubon Road, Route 363 (Trooper Road), U.S. 422, and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road).
Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
