Gas Main Replacement Begins Sunday in Danville Borough, Montour County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised of overnight lane restrictions next week on Northumberland Street (Route 11) in Danville Borough, Montour County, for a gas main replacement project.

Starting on Sunday, August 10, 2025, J.F. Kiely, the contractor, will begin replacing the gas main on Northumberland Street between Continental Boulevard (Route 54) and just west of the rail road crossing.  Motorists can expect a lane restriction and lane shifts where work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, watch for lane changes and lane shifts, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.

J.F. Kiely is a contractor for UGI on this gas main replacement project. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed by the end of August 2025.
