PennDOT’s Greene County Maintenance Update

Week of December 23, 2024

Uniontown, PA – Greene County Maintenance Manager Dale Baird has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of December 23. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.

Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Drainage improvements:

  • Route 2005 (Dairy Farm Road) in Perry Township
  • Route 2010 (Holbert Stretch Road) in Dunkard Township
  • Various routes countywide

Litter and debris removal:

  • Interstate 79 in Franklin, Perry, Washington, and Whiteley townships
  • Various routes countywide

Spray patching:

  • Various routes countywide 

Crews will pick litter, replace downed and update signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide. 

PennDOT has a toll-free number—1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623)—for residents to report road maintenance concerns and the locations of dead deer on state highways.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1 or following regional X alerts.
