Fort Duquesne Bridge Inspection Work this Week in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection activities on the Fort Duquesne Bridge (I-279) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Tuesday through Friday, August 26-29 weather permitting.

Inspection activities requiring single-lane restrictions will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day in the following locations:

·         The southbound I-279 approach ramp to the Fort Duquesne Bridge

·         The southbound Route 65 approach ramp to the Fort Duquesne Bridge

·         The lower deck of the Fort Duquesne Bridge (two-lane closures may occur intermittently)

Crews from Michael Baker International will conduct the inspection work.

Please use caution if traveling on the ramps.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
