The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is informing motorists of a planned 49-day detour for the Route 7426 (Oak Street) bridge rehabilitation project over Norfolk Southern Railroad and the Little Conemaugh River in South Fork Borough, Cambria County, beginning Monday, June 2, 2025.
A 3.5-mile detour will be implemented using Railroad Street in Croyle Township, Main Street, Jackson Street and Disert Street in Summerhill Borough, and 2nd Street and Portage Street in Ehrenfeld Borough.

Roadway signs will be in place to mark the start, end and route of the detour, and flaggers will be in place where needed.
As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Motorists should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage.
Cottle’s Asphalt Maintenance, Inc., Everett, Pa., is the contractor for the $788,754.28 bridge rehabilitation project. The detour is scheduled to be lifted on Monday, July 21, 2025. The anticipated completion date for the project is October 2025.
