Lane Restrictions This Week on Route 283 at Risser Mill Road Bridge in Mount Joy Township, Lancaster County

Risser Mill Road bridge to be inspected this Wednesday and Thursday

Harrisburg, PA The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced there will be daytime lane restrictions this Wednesday and Thursday on the Route 283 in Mount Joy Township, Lancaster County. The lane restrictions will be in place so an inspection can be performed on the Risser Mill Road bridge spanning the highway about midway between the Rheems/Elizabethtown Exit and the Route 772/Mount Joy/Manheim Exit.

Weather permitting, the inspection will be from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 4, and Thursday, June 5.

There will be alternating right and left lane restrictions in the eastbound direction on Wednesday, and in the westbound direction on Thursday.

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
