Right Lane Restriction on SB Eisenhower Blvd. at Highland Street in Swatara Township, Dauphin County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a right lane restriction is in place on southbound Eisenhower Boulevard at Highland Street in Swatara Township, Dauphin County. This restriction, which is expected to be in place for about 30 days, will allow work associated with a safety improvement project on Eisenhower Boulevard to be performed.

The right (turn) lane from Eisenhower Boulevard heading south to Highland Street is currently closed so drainage upgrades and new sidewalk and ADA ramps can be constructed.

Right turns from southbound Eisenhower Boulevard to Highland Street will be made from the center through lane. Access to businesses at that location will be maintained.

This work is part of a safety improvement project on Eisenhower Boulevard from Highland Street to Lindell Road along the section of Eisenhower Boulevard that runs concurrently with Route 441.

This project consists of the installation of bicycle lanes, sidewalks and curbing, curb ramps, widening an existing turn lane, drainage work, updates to signing and pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction,

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.

JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the contractor for this $1,864,585 project. All work is expected to be completed by May 6, 2026.
