King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pipe replacement and base repair are planned on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Bucks County:
- Monday, July 28, through Wednesday, August 6, from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Point Pleasant Pike will be closed weekdays between Route 413 (Durham Road) and Route 32 (River Road) in Plumstead Township for base repair. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 413 (Durham Road), Stump Road, and Tohickon Hill Road.
- Monday, August 4, through Friday, August 8, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Railroad Avenue/Sunset Avenue will be closed between Route 152 (Main Street) and Barry Road in Chalfont Borough and New Britain Township for base repair. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Barry Road, New Galena Road, and Route 152 (Limekiln Pike).
Chester County:
- Tuesday, August 5, through Friday, August 8, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Fairview Road will be closed between Horseshoe Trail and Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) in East Nantmeal Township for pipe replacement. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 100 (Pottstown Pike), Route 401 (Conestoga Road), and Fairview Road.
Delaware County:
- Monday, July 28, through Friday, August 1, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Sweetwater Road will be closed between Creek Road and Sweetbriar Lane in Thornbury Township for pipe replacement. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Creek Road, Gradyville Road, and Valley Road.
Local access will be maintained up to all work zones. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
