King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on two state highways in Delaware and Montgomery counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Delaware County:
- Monday, August 11, through Friday, October 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Coopertown Road will be closed weekdays between College Avenue and Blakely Road in Haverford Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Coopertown Road, Darby Road, and College Avenue.
Montgomery County:
- Tuesday, July 29, through Monday, September 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Morris Avenue will be closed weekdays between John Barry Drive and Harriton Road in Lower Merion Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Harriton Road, Roberts Road, Old Gulph Road, and Spring Mill Road.
Local access will be maintained. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
