Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that line striping is planned on several state highways in Chester and Philadelphia counties under a $7.5 million project to install safety enhancements to improve travel and reduce high-speed crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County:
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) at the intersection with Route 82 (Strode Avenue) in the City of Coatesville.
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the U.S. 30 (Coatesville Downingtown Bypass) ramps at the intersection with Airport Road in Valley Township.
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the U.S. 30 (Coatesville Downingtown Bypass) ramps at the intersection with Reeceville Road in Caln Township.
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the U.S. 30 ramps at the intersection with Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) in West Whiteland Township.
Philadelphia:
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the Enterprise Avenue on-ramp and off-ramp to I-95.
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the northbound I-95 off-ramp to Route 291 (Penrose Avenue).
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the southbound I-95 off-ramp to Broad Street (Route 611).
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the northbound I-95 off-ramp to Callowhilll Street.
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the southbound I-95 off-ramp to Callowhill Street.
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the southbound I-95 off-ramp to Front Street.
- Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled weekdays on the northbound I-95 off-ramp to Packer Avenue.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
