King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that base repair and pipe replacement operations are scheduled on three state highways in Montgomery and Chester counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, June 9, through Tuesday, June 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, sections of Route 663 (Charlotte Street) will be closed and detoured weekdays between Maugers Mill Road and Route 73 (Big Road) in Upper Pottsgrove, Lower Pottsgrove, and New Hanover townships, Montgomery County, for base repair. Motorists will be directed to use Maugers Mill Road, Gilbertsville Road, and Route 73 (Big Road).
- Monday, June 9, through Wednesday, June 11, and Monday, June 16, through Friday, June 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Little Washington Road will be closed and detoured between U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and Guthriesville Road in East Brandywine Township, Chester County, for pipe replacement. Motorists will be directed to use U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and Guthriesville Road.
- Monday, June 23, through Friday, June 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Kaolin Road will be closed and detoured between Ewart Road and Chandler Mill Road in Kennett and New Garden townships, Chester County, for pipe replacement. Motorists will be directed to use Ewart Road and Chandler Mill Road.
Local access will be maintained for residences and businesses in the work zones.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
