Dunmore, PA – Route 2005 (Blackman Street) in Wilkes-Barre was closed on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the intersection of Carlisle Street and Huston Street. The estimated time of reopening is to be determined. The detours are as follows:
Car detour from Route 309 to the San Souci Parkway
- Turn left onto Hazle Street
- Continue on Hazle Street for 0.9 miles
- Turn right on to St. Mary’s Road
- Continue on St Mary’s Road for 1.9 miles
- Turn right on to the Sans Souci Parkway
- Continue on the Sans Souci Parkway for 1 mile
- The detour will end at the intersection of the Sans Souci Parkway and Horton Street
Car detour from the Sans Souci Parkway to Route 309
- Continue straight on the Sans Souci Parkway for 1 mile
- Turn left on to St. Mary’s Road
- Continue on St. Mary’s Road for 1.9 miles
- Turn left on to North Main Street
- Continue on North Main Street for 0.9 miles
- The detour will end at the intersection of Blackman and Hazle Street
Truck detour from Route 309 to the Sans Souci Parkway
- Head southbound on Route 309 to I-81
- Use the right lane to merge onto I-81 southbound
- Continue on I-81 southbound for 1 mile
- Take Exit 164 to PA-29 northbound
- Continue on PA-29 northbound for 3.7 miles
- Take Exit 3 towards the Sans Souci Parkway
- Stay right and merge onto the Sans Souci Parkway
- Continue on the Sans Souci Parkway for 4 miles
- The detour will end at the intersection of the Sans Souci Parkway and Horton Street
Truck detour from the Sans Souci Parkway to Route 309
- Head southbound on the Sans Souci Parkway for 4 miles
- Turn left and merge onto PA-29 southbound
- Continue on PA-29 southbound for 3.7 miles
- Use the left 2 Lanes to merge onto I-81 northbound towards Wilkes-Barre
- Continue on I-81 for .5 miles
- Use the left lane to take Exit 165B for business Route 309 towards Wilkes-Barre
- Continue on Route 309 for .7 miles
- The detour will end at the intersection of Route 309 and Blackman Street
