Route 87 Bridge Rehabilitation Project Continues This Week in Hillsgrove Township, Sullivan County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a bridge rehabilitation project continues this week on Route 87 in Hillsgrove Township, Sullivan County. The bridge is located approximately 0.5 miles north Ogdonia Road (Route 3005) to approximately 1.8 miles south of Hoppestown Road (Route 4010).

The week of Monday, June 9, 2025

  • Work on the temporary two-lane road has been completed.
  • On Monday, June 9, 2025, Route 87traffic will be switched to the new temporary road.
  • The bridge will be closed to traffic, and rehabilitation work will begin. 

Motorists should use caution while traveling on the new temporary road.

Nestlerode Contracting Inc. is the prime contractor for this $1,329,275 bridge rehabilitation project. Work includes building a temporary road, paving, removal of a portion of the existing bridge, superstructure replacement, waterproofing, guide rail upgrades and other miscellaneous construction. The project is expected to be completed in late fall of 2025, weather permitting.
