Lane Restriction on Mountain Road in Columbia County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised of a lane restriction on the bridge that carries Mountain Road (Route 2021 / T-722) over Interstate 80 in Mifflin Township, Columbia County, due to a bridge strike. The bridge was struck and damaged on Thursday, June 19 by an oversize load traveling eastbound on Interstate 80.

Initially closed while crews inspected the damage, the bridge has now been opened to a single lane. Traffic is controlled by temporary stop signs at each end of the bridge.

PennDOT plans to further review the inspection results to discuss preliminary repair plans and material needs.
