Bridge Preservation Project Continues in Lycoming County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised a bridge preservation project will continue next week in Lycoming County. This project provides preservation work on 12 state-owned bridges throughout the county. Work includes bridge deck repair, the application of a waterproof membrane, paving, and line painting.

The week of June 9, 2025, work will continue on the following bridges in Lycoming County.

Beaver Run Road (Route 2077)

  • The contractor will be paving and applying a waterproof membrane to the bridge over Little Muncy Creek, located just south of Route 118 in Franklin Township.

Funston Road (Route 2015)

  • Work will continue on the bridge The contractor will be paving and applying a waterproof membrane to the bridge over Route 118 in Franklin Township.

Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions during daylight hours where work is being performed. 

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $1.6 million bridge preservation project. Bridges includes in this project include Route 44 over Pine Creek in Cummings Township, Route 414 over Cedar Run in Brown Township, Route 284 over Blockhouse Creek in Pine Township, Route 2011 (Exchange Road) over Laurel Run in Moreland Township, Route 2015 (Funston Road) over Little Muncy Creek in Franklin Township, Route 2028 (Quaker State Road) over East Mill Creek in Fairfield Township, Route 2031 (Lick Run Road / Palmer Hill Road) over Mill Creek in Loyalsock Township, Route 2077 (Beaver Run Road) Little Muncy Creek in Franklin Township, Route 3004 (Jacks Hollow Road) over Mosquito Creek in Armstrong Township, Route 3013 (Quenshukeny Road) over Quenshukeny Creek in Woodward Township, Route 3018 (First Fork Road) over First Fork in Mifflin Township, and Route 4007 (Covered Bridge Road) over Blockhouse Creek in Jackson Township. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed by late summer 2025, weather permitting.
