Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said it will reopen the right (travel) lane and close the left (passing) lane on Route 322 westbound near the Oak Hall interchange in College Township as work continues to rehabilitate a pair of bridges spanning Route 3010 (Warner Boulevard) and Spring Creek. This work will improve the ride quality of the bridges, extend their service life, and improve their overall condition ratings from fair to good.
The traffic pattern on Route 322 eastbound will remain unchanged. The passing lane will remain closed for the duration of the project. PennDOT expects work on the project to wrap near the end of August, but all work is weather-dependent.
Work on this pair of bridges includes pouring new concrete decking, joint sealing, repairing the bridge railing, paving the approaches, and miscellaneous construction. George S Hann & Son, Inc. of Littleton, PA, is the contractor on this $2 million project. A third bridge along Route 3022 (University Drive) spanning Route 26 in State College also saw work as part of this contract, which the contractor completed during the 2024 construction season.
