Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) urged drivers traveling Route 322 between Boalsburg and Potters Mills in Centre County to expect delays this week while its Centre County Maintenance Organization repairs guide rail damaged in a crash and repaints the “dot” markings. Guide rail systems reduce the severity of crashes by preventing a vehicle from reaching a more hazardous fixed object or terrain feature, and “dot” markings assist drivers with maintaining a safe following distance.
Flaggers will be in the roadway assisting with traffic control tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday while crews complete this work. PennDOT urges drivers to allow extra time if traveling in this area or choose an alternate route.
