Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Acting Greene County Maintenance Manager Thomas Younkin has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of June 30. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Boom mowing:
- Route 2002 (Bald Hill Road) in Dunkard and Perry townships
- Route 2004 (Taylortown Road) in Dunkard Township
- Route 2021 (Bald Hill Church Road) in Dunkard Township
- Route 3007 (Delphene Road) in Jackson Township
Bridge replacement:
- Route 3018 (Behm Road) in Aleppo Township
- Between Black Creek Road and Whipkey Ridge Road
- Detour:
- Route 3001 (Aleppo Road)
- Route 21 (Roy E. Furman Highway)
- Route 3022 (Bristoria Road)
- Route 3005 (Long Run Road)
- Route 3018 (Behm Road)

Drainage improvements:
- Route 3008 (Jollytown Road) in Gilmore Township
Inlet repair:
- Route 2003 (Buckeye Road) in Perry Township
Sinkhole repair:
- Route 2003 (Patterson Run Road) Whiteley Township
Surface treatment:
- Route 3008 (Jollytown Road) in Gilmore Township
Crews will pick litter, replace downed and update signs, and address work orders on various state routes countywide.
PennDOT has a toll-free number—1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623)—for residents to report road maintenance concerns and the locations of dead deer on state highways.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, available free of charge 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to over 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices by calling 5-1-1 or following regional X alerts.
