Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing a traffic shift on eastbound Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) will occur Thursday, June 26 in Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County weather permitting.
Eastbound Route 30 traffic was reduced to a single-lane of traffic around-the-clock in early April between Route 2043 (Darlington Rector Road) and Quarry Lane. Beginning at approximately 6 a.m. Thursday, traffic will be shifted into the previously closed left-hand lane to allow crews to begin work in the right-hand lane. This restriction will be in place through mid-August.
Crews from J.F. Shea Construction will improve the bridge carrying eastbound Route 30 over Loyalhanna Creek – an infrastructure investment of $2.1 million. The scope of work includes the replacement of the bridge joints, a full latex overlay, encasement of the existing viaduct piers, drainage reconstruction, repair existing barrier fencing, and other miscellaneous construction activities.
Be alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
