Bridge Bearing Preservation Begins Monday in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing shoulder restriction on northbound Route 119 between Technology Drive Exit and Route 119/Route 66/I-70 Interchange in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, weather permitting.

The restrictions will be in place beginning Monday, September 15 through mid-October to allow crews to perform bridge bearing preservation work on northbound Route 119 bridge, which crosses over the PA Turnpike -76.

The work is being completed by Allison Park Contractors, Inc., which is retrofitting rocker bearings at multiple sites throughout the district. This effort is part of a larger infrastructure improvement project with a $745,000 infrastructure investment.

Motorists should remain alert and use caution when traveling through the area.
