Route 1037 South Arch Street Road Closure to Begin Next Week in Fayette County

Uniontown, PA – PennDOT District 12 is advising motorists that a portion of Route 1037 (South Arch Street) will be closed to traffic between Cedar Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue in the City of Connellsville, Fayette County. The closure will begin Monday, June 12 and remain in place through the end of September, weather and operational dependent.

The closure will be in place to allow crews to remove the existing bridge and replace it with a cast-in-place box culvert.

The posted detour will utilize South Pittsburgh Street, Woodlawn Avenue, and Cedar Avenue.

Crews from Plum Contracting, Inc., will be performing the work.

This work is part of a $733,274 project to replace the existing bridge structure with a precast concrete box culvert and to reconstruct the approach roadway. The project is anticipated to be complete in September 2023.
