RESCHEDULED: Route 1069 Main Street Road Closure to Begin This Week in Fayette County

Uniontown, PA – PennDOT District 12 is advising motorists that a portion of Route 1069 (Main Street) will be closed to traffic between Hinsey Street and Keighley Street in North Union Township, Fayette County. The closure that was scheduled to begin on Friday, June 9 has been rescheduled to begin on Friday, June 16.  The closure is anticipated to last until early July, weather and operational dependent.

The closure will be in place to allow crews to apply latex overlay to the bridge deck.

The posted detour will utilize Oliver Road, Bute Road, North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Hogsett Lane, Washington Street, and Main Street.

Crews from Swank Construction will be performing the work.

This work is part of a $2.4 million bridge preservation project that includes installation of latex concrete overlay on 5 different bridges throughout Fayette County and other bridge repair work. The project is anticipated to be complete in late 2023.
