Uniontown, PA – Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager, David M. Forkey, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of June 20, 2023. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting and operational basis.
During county maintenance work activities motorists should expect to encounter flaggers, single-lane restrictions, moving operations, and detours. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
Patching is scheduled for:
- Route 31 (Ruffsdale/ Mount Pleasant Road) in Huntingdon Township
- Route 981 (Morewood Street) in East Huntingdon Township
- Route 22 in Murrysville
- Route 4083 (Wildlife Lodge Road) in Lower Burrell
- Route 4083 (Falcons Park Road) in Lower Burrell
Ditching is scheduled for:
- Route 2023 (Blacksmith Road) in Mount Pleasant Township
- Route 2027 (Charles Houck Road) in Unity Township
Inlet Repair/Replacement is scheduled for:
- Route 130 in Unity township
- Route 3011 (Indian Hill Road) in Rostraver Township
Pipe Repair/Replacement is scheduled for:
- Route 2016 (Youngstown Ridge Ave) in Unity Township
- Route 259 (Coalpit Road) in Fairfield Township
- Route 1009 (Owl Hollow Road) in Ligonier Township
- Route 119 (Crabtree) in Hempfield Township
Shoulder Cutting is scheduled for:
- Route 711 Ligonier Township to Fairfield Township
Slide Repair is scheduled for:
- Route 1067 (Paintertown Road) in Penn Township
Bridge repair is scheduled for:
- Route 1071 in Ligonier Township
Bridge Flushing is scheduled for:
- Rostraver and Smithton Area
Side Dozing is scheduled for:
- Route 2002 (Main Street) in Donegal
- Route 982 in Mount Pleasant
Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the County.
