    PennDOT’s Washington County Maintenance Update

    June 22, 2023

    ​Uniontown, PA – Washington County Maintenance Manager, Susan Howard, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of June 26, 2023. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting and operational basis.

    During county maintenance work activities motorists should expect to encounter flaggers, single-lane restrictions, moving operations, and detours. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.

    Shoulder cutting is scheduled for:

    • Route 3037 (Ackley Creek Road and West Finley Road) in West Finley Township
    • Route 18 (Prosperity Pike) in Morris Township
    • Route 231 (East Finley Drive, North Road) in East Finley, Donegal, and Blaine Townships
    • Route 3026 (Enon Church Road) in West Finley and East Finley Townships
    • Route 3014 (Vaneal Road) in South Franklin Township

    Sweeping is scheduled for:

    • Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Robinson Township

    Patching is scheduled for:

    • Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Robinson Township

    Seal coating is scheduled for:

    • Route 4012 (Center Street, Bulgar-Raccoon Road, Noblestown Road) in Robinson Township
    • Route 4013 (Valley Street) in Robinson Township
    • Route 4015 (Waterdam Road, Joffre Cherry Valley Road) in Mt. Pleasant and Smith Townships
    • Route 4016 (Cherry Valley Road) in Mt. Pleasant Township
    • Route 4037 (Ft. Cherry Road) in Mt. Pleasant Township
    • Route 4067 (North Branch Road) in Robinson Township

    Subbase repair is scheduled for:

    Bridge Repair Crew is scheduled for:

     Inlet cleaning is scheduled for:

    • Route 18 (Prosperity Pike) in Morris Township
    • Route 18 (Jefferson Avenue, Henderson Avenue) in Chartiers Township and City of Washington
    • Route 4008 (Eldersville Road) in Jefferson and Smith Township and Burgettstown Borough

     Rock lining is scheduled for:

    • Route 2007, (Banetown Road, Scenic Drive) in Amwell and North Franklin Townships)

     Mowing is scheduled for:

    • Interstate 70, Ramp 8025 (Donora) and Ramp 8014 (Jefferson Avenue)
    • Route 519 Park n Ride, (Ramp 9503 and 9501) in North Strabane Township
    • Interstate 79 Park n Ride, (Ramp 9504- Beau Street) in South Strabane Township
    • Route 22 (Ramp 8046), Starlake Area
    • Route 221 (South Bridge Road) in Claysville Borough

     Brushing is scheduled for:

    • Route 2023 (Grange Road, Bentleyville Road, VanVoorhis Road, Hazelkirk Road) in Fallowfield and Carroll Townships

     Boom mowing is scheduled for:

    • Route 4035 (Lynn Portal Road and Eberle Road) in Mt. Pleasant and Cross Creek Townships
    • Route 2023 (Grange Road, Bentleyville Road, VanVoorhis Road, Hazelkirk Road) in Fallowfield and Carroll Township

     Debris cleanup is scheduled for:

    • Interstate 70 in Somerset and Fallowfield Townships
    • Interstate 79 in Chartiers, North Strabane and Cecil Townships

     Pipe replacement is scheduled for:

    • Route 2005 (Brush Run Road) in Amwell and North Bethlehem Townships
    • Route 1010 (Georgetown Road) in Cecil Township

     Milling is scheduled for:

    • Route 2037 (Twin Bridges Road) in Fallowfield Township
    • Route 2012 (Walnut Road) in Fallowfield Township

     Seal coating is scheduled for:

    • Route 4009 (Bulgar Candor Road) in Robinson Township
    • Route 4010 (Beach Hollow Road) in Robinson Township
    • Route 4011 (Quick Silver Road) in Robinson Township
    • Route 4012 (Railroad Street, Johns Avenue) in Robinson Township

     Joint sealing is scheduled for:
    • Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Robinson Township

     Slide crew is scheduled for:

    • State Route 3035 (Rocky Run Road), East and West Finley Townships

     Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.

    Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the County.

    PennDOT has a toll-free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern.  This number can also be utilized to report locations of dead deer on state highways.  The number is 1-800-FIX ROAD (1-800-349-7623). 

    Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 

    511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts.
