Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection activities on the Fort Duquesne Bridge (I-279) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Monday and Tuesday, July 28-29 weather permitting.
Inspection activities will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day according to the following schedule:
· Monday, July 28 – A single-lane restriction will occur on the southbound I-279 approach ramp to the Fort Duquesne Bridge
· Tuesday, July 29 – A single-lane restriction will occur on northbound I-279 between the Fort Duquesne Bridge and the North 28 Chestnut Street/East Ohio Street/Etna (Exit 1D) off-ramp
Crews from Mackin Engineering and the Sofis Company will conduct the inspection work.
Please use caution if traveling on the ramps. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
