Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection activities on the Fort Duquesne Bridge (I-279) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29 weather permitting.
Inspection activities will occur from 6 a.m. to noon each day in the following locations:
· Saturday, June 28 – A southbound lane restriction will occur on the ramp from the lower deck of the Fort Duquesne Bridge to the Fort Pitt Bridge. Additionally, a lane restriction will occur on the Fort Duquesne Bridge at the ramp to Fort Duquesne Boulevard. The ramp will remain open to traffic.
· Sunday, June 29 – A lane restriction will occur on the northbound ramp from I-279 to the upper deck of the Fort Duquesne Bridge.
Crews from Mackin Engineering and the Sofis Company will conduct the inspection work.
Please use caution if traveling on the ramps. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
