Final Schedule for Concrete Repairs on I-79 in Butler County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today the final schedule for the repairs along I-79 northbound and southbound in Cranberry Township, Butler County.

June through August, work will be from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM weekdays with a lane closure on both northbound and southbound for joint repairs, the replacement of guiderail and signs. On weekends from Friday 8:00 PM to Monday 6:00 AM there will be a lane closure on both northbound and southbound for concrete patching, repaving northbound lanes, and fixing cross pipes.

On northbound I-79 the work area will extend from Exit 77: PA Turnpike/Youngstown, OH/Harrisburg to a half mile past Exit 78: Route 228 Cranberry/Mars.  Southbound will be between Exit 77: PA Turnpike/Youngstown, OH/Harrisburg and the Weigh Station.

Contractor, Guilsek Construction LLC of Mt. Pleasant, PA, will be completing this $5.4 million project, estimated to be completed by the end of August 2025.
