PennDOT’s Washington County Maintenance Update

Week of August 25, 2025

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Washington County Maintenance Manager Brian Malik has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of August 25. All maintenance activities are dependent on weather and operations.

Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Bridge replacement:

  • Route 2034 (Sunset Drive) in West Pike Run Township

Mowing:

  • Route 22 (Ramp 8046) in Hanover Township
  • Interstate 70 (Ramp 8014 - Jefferson Avenue) in the City of Washington
  • Route 221 (S Bridge Road) in Buffalo Township
  • Route 837 (Ramp 8025) in Donora Borough
  • Route 4024 (Taylorstown Ridge Road) in Blaine and Buffalo townships
  • Route 3026 (Enon Church Road) in West Finley and East Finley townships

Paving:

  • Route 4037 (Fort Cherry Road) in Mount Pleasant and Robinson townships

Seal coating:

  • Route 19 (Amity Ridge Road) in Amwell and South Strabane townships
  • Route 2001 (South Main Street Extension) in Amwell and North Franklin townships and the City of Washington
  • Route 2011 (Lone Pine Road) in Amwell and West Bethlehem townships

Shoulder cutting:

  • Route 88 (Front Street) in East Bethlehem Townships and Centerville Borough
  • Route 2011 (Martindale Road and Beallsville Road) in Deemston Borough
  • Route 2022 (Clarksville Road) in West Bethlehem Township
  • Route 2039 (Main Street) in East Bethlehem Township
  • Route 2041 (Sandy Plains Road and Morey Road) in East Bethlehem Township and Deemston Borough
  • Route 2049 (Clarksville Road) in West Bethlehem Township

Crews will pick litter, replace downed signs, update existing signs, and address work orders on various state routes throughout the county. 

PennDOT has a toll-free number—1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623)—for residents to report road maintenance concerns and the locations of dead deer on state highways.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, available free of charge 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to over 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices by calling 5-1-1 or following regional X alerts.
