Crossing to be closed for about a week starting Sept. 8
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that East Penn Railroad is scheduled to replace a railroad crossing on Stonewood Road (Route 2017) between Gartner Lane and E. Market Street (Route 462) in Springettsbury Township, York County.
Weather permitting, the crossing will be closed Monday, September 8. The closure is expected to last about a week. A detour will be in place.
Travelers heading south on Stonewood Road should take Market Street west to Cinema Drive, turn left on Cinema Drive and proceed south to Eastern Boulevard, turn left on Eastern Boulevard and proceed east to Stonewood Road.
Travelers heading north on Stonewood Road should take Eastern Boulevard west to Locust Grove Road, turn right on Locust Grove Road and proceed north to Market Street, turn right on Market Street and proceed east to Stonewood Road.
