King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pipe replacement will close two state highways in Chester County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Thursday, August 21, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Little Conestoga Road will be closed and detoured between Styer Road and Milford Road in Wallace and Upper Uwchlan townships. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Styer Road, Greenridge Road, Font Road, and Milford Road.
- Wednesday, August 27, through Friday, September 5, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Lenape Unionville Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Locust Grove and Northbrook Road/Red Lion Road in East Marlborough and Pocopson townships. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Locust Grove Road, Route 52 (Lenape Road), Route 926 (Street Road), Doe Run Road, and Northbrook Road/Red Lion Road.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
