Montoursville, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that starting next week, the westbound Montour County Rest Area on Interstate 80, located at mile marker 219, will be closed for repairs.
Starting on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 7:00 AM, the Rest Area will be closed while plumbing and well repairs are made. Motorists are advised that comfort facilities and parking will not be available. Work is anticipated to be completed on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Work includes upgrades to the current comfort facilities, to the utility lines, and the water treatment plants. The closure also includes the parking areas. Motorists should make plans to seek alternative parking and comfort facilities while construction is ongoing.
