Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a microsurfacing project is set to begin on several routes in Berwick Borough, Briar Creek Township and South Centre Township, Columbia County.
Beginning Wednesday July 23, 2025, the contactor, Suit-Kote Corporation, will begin the project which includes the following roads:
- Freas Avenue (Route 1016) between Cemetery Road (Route 1019) and Dickson Street (Route 1023) in Berwick Borough
- Warren Street (Route 1021) between Sixth Street and Freas Avenue in Berwick Borough
- Dickson Street/La Salle Street (Route 1023) between Second Street (Route 11) and Sixth Avenue in Berwick Borough
- Fowler Avenue (Route 1027) between Eighth Street in Berwick Borough and Broad Street in Briar Creek Township
- Market Street (Route 2028) in South Centre Township between Route 11 and Third Street (Route 339) in Mifflin Township
Motorists can expect single lane conditions under flagging while work is being performed during daylight hours. Motorists are urged to drive with caution in the work zone and can expect minor delays.
This project is expected to be completed in early August 2025, weather permitting.
Suite-Kote Corporation is the prime contractor on this $679,000 project which includes microsurfacing and line painting on the above listed routes in Columbia County.
