Lane Restrictions Start Next Week on Route 42 in Hemlock Township, Columbia County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that lane restrictions will begin next week on Route 42 in Hemlock Township, Columbia County for a utility upgrade project.

Starting on Monday, June 16, 2025, a contractor for PP&L, will begin installing conduit along the shoulder of Route 42 between Ebner Road and Fairview Drive. Work includes installing conduit for future underground utilities and roadway restoration. Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging where work is being performed. Work will be performed during daylight hours.

Work on this phase is anticipated to be completed in July 2025. Motorists should be alert, slow down, and drive with caution through the work zone.
