    9:00 PM UPDATE: Roads Impacted by Flooding, Downed Trees or Utilities in North Central Pennsylvania

    Montoursville, PA – Motorists in north central Pennsylvania are advised the following roads in the area (listed by county) are closed or have a lane restriction due to flooding, downed trees or utilities. Updates will be sent periodically.

    Columbia

    • Camp Lavigne Road (Route 4049) between Route 118 and the Sullivan County line, Sugarloaf Township, flooding.
    • Route 1025 (Summer Hill Road) between Dairy Road/Twin Church Road and Water Dam Road in Briar Creek Township, flooding.
    • Route 1019 (Kachinka Hollow Road) between Martzville Road (Route 1014) and Davis Hill Road/Twin Church Road in Briar Creek Township, flooding.
    • (OPEN) Route 1016 (Freas Avenue) between Cemetery Road (Route 1019) and Washington Street in Berwick, flooding

    Lycoming

    • Route 2055 (Chippewa Road) between Route 405 and Lime Bluff Road (Route 2042) in Muncy Creek Township, floodin.
    •  **Route 220 between Route 405 in Hughesville Borough, Lycoming County and Route 42 in Laporte Township, Sullivan County.

    o   Route 220 Closed in Sullivan and Lycoming Counties | Department of Transportation | Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

    • Route 2085 (Edkin Hill Road) between Route 220 in Penn Township and Edkin Hill Road (Route 3001) in Shrewsbury Township, Sullivan County, flooding.
    • Route 2083 (Deer Lake Road) between Route 220 and Ogdonia Road (Route 3005) in Shrewsbury Township, flooding.
    •  **Route 42 between Route 220 in Davidson Township, Sullivan County and Route 239 in Franklin Township, Lycoming County, flooding.

    (OPEN) Route 880 closed at the intersection with Middle Road (Route 3002) in Limestone Township, flooding.

    Sullivan

    • **Route 220 between Route 405 in Hughesville Borough, Lycoming County and Route 42 in Laporte Township, Sullivan County.

    • Route 3005 (Ogdonia Road) between Route 87 in Hillsgrove and Deer Lake Road (Route 2083) in Shrewsbury Township, flooding.
    • Route 3001 (Edkin Hill Road) between Route 42 in Shrewsbury Township and Edkin Hill Road (Route 2085) in Penn Township, Lycoming County, flooding.
    • **Route 42 between Route 220 in Davidson Township, Sullivan County and Route 239 in Franklin Township, Lycoming County, flooding.
    • Route 2002 (Nordmont Road) between Route 220 and Nordmont Road (Route 2003) in Davidson Township, flooding.
    •  Route 2001 (Beaver Lake Road) between Green Valley Road and Route 42 in Davidson Township, flooding.  

    **Although crews have been out inspecting roadways today, the water levels and additional rain have made certain roadways and bridges unable to inspect. Roadways closed are not safe for travel. Routes 220 and 42 are expected to be closed until at least tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

    PennDOT cautions motorists to never drive through flooded roadways, as it takes just two feet of fast-moving water to float a car. Anyone who drives around barriers intended to close a road can face increased penalties if emergency responders are called to rescue motorists who disregard traffic control signs.

    Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com.  511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
