Three Bridge Replacements Scheduled to Begin Across District 12

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing three scheduled roadway closures in Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties for bridge replacement work.

Greene County – Scheduled closure from August 25 through late-November.

  • Route 2001 (Rudolph Run Road) in Perry/Wayne townships
    • Between Hoy Run Road and Strawn Hill Road
    • Posted detour:
      • Route 2001 (Rudolph Run Road)
      • Route 2018 (Kirby Road)
      • Route 218 (Smith Creek Road)

Washington County – Scheduled closure from August 25 through late-November.

  • Route 2034 (Sunset Drive) in West Pike Run Township
    • Between Route 2041 (Beallsville Road) and Hickory Road
    • Posted detour:
      • Route 2034 (Sunset Drive)
      • Route 2071 (Richeyville Road)
      • Route 40 (National Pike)
      • Route 2041 (Beallsville Road)

Fayette County – Scheduled closure from September 8 through late-November.

  • Route 4032 (Bolden Road) in Franklin Township
    • Between Cooper Road and Route 1016 (Saw Mill Road)
    • Posted detour:
      • Route 1016 (Saw Mill Road)
      • Route 1043 (Bitner Road)
      • Route 4013 (Strong Road)

Department Force Bridge crews will demolish the existing structures, replace them with precast concrete box culverts, and widen the approaches. Each location is a $750,000 infrastructure investment project.

All work depends on weather and operational conditions.
