Resurfacing Project Set to Begin in Fayette and Greene Counties

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing a resurfacing project that will require single-lane restrictions on five roadways in Fayette and Greene counties. 

Work is scheduled to take place weekdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, beginning Friday, September 12 through mid-November. All work depends on weather and operations.

Resurfacing locations include: 

Fayette County 

  • Route 3010 (Smithfield/Masontown Road), German Township – between Church Street and Smithfield Street

Greene County

  • Route 1008 (Ferncliff Road), Jefferson Township – between Route 1017 (Crucible Road) and Township Road 
  • Route 1017 (Willis Road), Cumberland Township – between Route 88 and Route 1021 (Crucible Road) 
  • Route 1021 (Cruicible Road), Cumberland Township – between Cumberland Village Road and Route 1017 (Willis Road) 
  • Route 18 (Golden Oaks Road/Browns Creek Road), Freeport and Morris Townships – from the West Virginia state line (Golden Oaks Road) to North Hill Road

Crews from Tresco Paving Construction will be resurfacing roadways with a two-inch overlay, base repair, leveling, wearing, driveway adjustments, and painting. This work is part of a districtwide project covering fifteen roadways throughout the district–an infrastructure investment of $3.7M.
