Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Acting Washington County Maintenance Manager William “Dale” Baird has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of June 23. All maintenance activities are dependent on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Boom mowing:
- Route 231 in Independence Township
- Route 331 (Brush Run Road) in Canton and Hopewell townships
Brushing:
- Route 3008 (Jolly School Road) in South Franklin Township
- Route 3025 (Good Intent Road) in Donegal and West Finley townships
Drain cleaning/repairs:
- Route 3004 (Dutch Fork Church Road) in Donegal Township
- Route 3009 (Old Scales Road) in South Franklin Township
- Route 3019 (Beham Ridge Road) in Donegal Township
Litter removal:
- Interstate 70 in Fallowfield and Somerset townships and Speers and Twilight boroughs
Mowing:
- Route 22 Ramp 8046 in Hanover Township
- Interstate 70 Ramp 8014 (Jefferson Avenue) in the City of Washington
- Route 221 (S Bridge Road) in Buffalo Township
- Route 837 Ramp 8025 in Donora Borough
Patching:
- Interstate 70 in Fallowfield and Somerset townships and Speers and Twilight boroughs
Paving:
- Route 88 in Charleroi Borough
- Route 2036 (Pike Run Drive) in West Pike Run Township
Pipe flushing:
- Route 1073 (Sampson Church Road) in Carroll Township
Shoulder cutting:
- Route 88 in East Bethlehem Township and California Borough
- Route 837 (Fisher Heights Road) in Carroll and Union townships and Donora Borough and the City of Monongahela
Slide repair:
- Route 2013 (Little Daniels Run Road) in Amwell Township
- Road closed between Route 2005 (Brush Run Road) and Route 2008 (Lindley Road)
- Detour:

Crews will pick litter, replace downed signs, update existing signs, and address work orders on various state routes throughout the county.
