Maple/Beeson Street Bridge Preservation Begins Next Week in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing scheduled single-lane restrictions in Washington County:

  • Beginning Tuesday, May 20
  • Daytime (7:00 AM-5:00 PM)
  • Maple Street/Beeson Street in Mariana Borough
    • From Mariana Mine #58 Access Road
    • To Route 2020 (Ten Mile Road/Main Street)
  • Anticipated until early July

Work is dependent on weather and operational conditions.

Crews from Gulisek Construction will conduct preservation work on the bridge carrying Maple/Beeson Street over Tenmile Creek in Mariana Borough, which will remain open throughout construction. The scope of work includes clearing and grubbing, concrete curb rehabilitation, installation of a new ADA ramp, protective coating on the bridge, and crack sealing.

This is part of a larger $1.6 million infrastructure investment project aimed at preserving six local bridges in Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. The work consists of concrete repairs, crack sealing, protective coating application, expansion joint replacement, and waterproofing.
